Mike Myers signs on for Austin Powers 4
This news comes from Hitfix, who have no idea who is directing this sequel. Jay Roach, who directed the first three installments, is expected to return, but its to early to make that an official call just yet.
Austin Powers 4 will come more than a full decade since the last movie, Austin Powers in Goldmember, which hit theaters in 2002. The character has a whole new time period to react to now.
It isn't known when the film will go into production, but its likely that we won't see Austin Powers 4 until, at the very earliest, 2013.
Austin Powers 4 comes to theaters in 2013 and stars Mike Myers.

GROOVY BABYYY!!!! :D ive been waiting for this sense goldmember which in my eyes is one of the best spoof movies of all time its just hilarious all of the austin powers films are i remember being 8 years old seeing gold member in theaters and laughing at the obvious jokes and then a few months ago went back to it on dvd and laughed pretty much the whole film haha great memories welcome back MEESTER POWERSH

@sean I'm gonna rephrase what I said in a different way. Whenever MW posts news about the next upcoming sequel to a movie franchise, then some people comment on it saying they shouldn't make another one of them, then bring up a different movie they should make another sequel to instead. I'm glad there's gonna be an Austin Powers 4, I'm psyched about it, but I was referring to the one who goes by "bud2fresh". The same as him, if you look in his comment, he's telling the film makers what he wants to see instead of another Austin Powers film.

Well, if that's the case then for all we know, the film makers of a possible Austin Powers 4 might be reading this news article thread right now, reading what were all saying about it. So, I say go ahead and make it, becuase these movies are funny and entertaining in their own unique way, and a sequel is due to be made!

It's stupid as f*ck when MW brings up news about the newest sequel in a movie franchise and the people who don't want the film to be made because they think there's too many (Seeing as for some people, some movies should only be made so many times.) they comment it anytime telling them what movie they should make. Newsflash people, THEY AIN'T GONNA MAKE ANOTHER SEQUEL JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT THEM TOO! They mostly make another sequel because of critics or the amount of money the last film made. film makers only take suggestions of what you -WANT- to see in the next film! ...Well, some film makers anyway.
