Mike Dougherty is set to make his directorial debut on the horror, Trick 'r Treat for Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures.

Bryan Singer will also produce the flick that The Hollywood Reporter says is four interwoven stories that take place on Halloween with such characters as a staid high school principal who is a Halloween serial killer, a college-age virgin seeking that special guy, a woman who hates dressing up for Halloween and whose husband is obsession with the holiday and a group of young teens who pull a cruel prank.

A fall start for production in Vancouver is in the works for Trick 'r Treat; October 5, 2007 is the scheduled release date.
