Mickey Rourke Open to Appearing in Sin City 2
That statement aside, however, Rourke said that he'd be willing to do it in order to work with Robert Rodriguez again. "I have a lot of respect for Robert Rodriguez," he enthused. "It scares the piss out of me to sit in make-up for three hours [but] if the role is written the right way, I would do it because it was a good experience. I wasted a lot of time. I want to work with interesting directors. I'm going to do a lot of work because of the time I wasted."
So, while it sounds like he's unsure about the project, it also sounds like he'd be willing to commit to it again if the film works into his schedule, and if Miller and Rodriguez are back in the director's chairs.
No release date has yet been given for Sin City 2, but Frank Miller has recently completed the script, and Rodriguez has said that he and Miller are going to try to figure out where it would fit in their busy schedules.
Sin City 2 is in development .

Of course he's open to it, he hasn't been working since Sin City!
but he was great in he first, no doubt!

Yea, I agree with Crypt. It has to be a prequel because Marv died. Also, he wasn't my favorite either. I liked Rosario Dawson and Alexis Bledel's characters. Of course now I read The Kwisatz Haderach's statement. If that's true, then Marv will be back! I don't know. All I know is that Johnny Depp has a part in the next one! Woot! lolz.

The CryptKeeper
Obviously this is a prequel. He died in the first. I am not too excited about seeing him again. He wasn't my favorite character.

He was the perfect choice for Marv, he has to come back. I can't wait to see his performance in The Wrestler, and what about Killshot? I saw the first trailer for that over a year ago. Hope they get Sin City 2 started soon.

Great, Micky Rourke "Marv" could come back in the story "A Dame For The Kill". That would be brilliant.

That's cool...Rourke was great in Sin City. It's good to see him back doing good work. His new movie The Wrestler, just got the top award at the Cannes Film Festival and critical accolades for his performance.
Bring on Sin City2...it's been a long time coming.

Marv didnt die, he keeps on coming back through the sin city comics. In another comic he wakes up getting tossed from a car and goes on about his meds, his ass just got frieed in the chair not long ago. he goes on another rampage trying to figure things out. Got to love Marv.
