A new Johnny Depp film has gotten a Soprano as another cast member. According to Variety, Michael Rispoli (The Sopranos) has joined the cast The Rum Diary.

Rispoli joins the adaptation of the Hunter S. Thompson novel alongside Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Richard Jenkins and Giovanni Ribisi. Rispoli will play the character Bob Salas in the film.

The Rum Diary is currently in production on Puerto Rico.

The Rum Diary was released October 28th, 2011 and stars Johnny Depp, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Rispoli, Amber Heard, Richard Jenkins, Giovanni Ribisi, Amaury Nolasco, Marshall Bell. The film is directed by Bruce Robinson.
