Michael K. Williams circling RoboCop
The actor would play Alex Murphy's (Joel Kinnaman) close friend and partner alongside Jackie Earle Haley, Gary Oldman, Hugh Laurie, Abbie Cornish and Samuel L. Jackson.
José Padilha is directing from a script provided by Joshua Zetumer.
The actor is best known for playing Chalky White on Boardwalk Empire and is currently shooting 12 Years a Slave, which co-stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Brad Pitt and Michael Fassbender.
No production schedule has been released for this project.
RoboCop comes to theaters February 7th, 2014 and stars Joel Kinnaman, Gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Abbie Cornish, Jackie Earle Haley, Michael Keaton, Jay Baruchel, Michael K. Williams. The film is directed by José Padilha.

Yea not even Oldman, Laurie, and Jackson can save this abomination. Why Oldman? Why Jackson? After the Batman franchise and the Avengers why waste your talent on this crap fest?? When will Hollywood realize that reboots arent what America wants to see, its not even what we need.

i think a female partner added diversity for robocop. i dont mind changes but after seeing total recall last night, too many changes on a remake does not help the film any.
