The death of one of the most beloved entertainers of all time has finally been determined. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Michael Jackson's death was ruled a homicide.

A law enforcement official, speaking annonymously, told the Associated Press of the ruling, which was determined when the anesthetic propofol was found in Jackson's system along with two other sedatives.

It was said that the homicide ruling doesn't necessarily indicate that a crime was committed, although it seems likely that charges will be filed against Conrad Murray, Jackson's personal physician.

Murray said, in a statement through his lawyer, that he gave Jackson nothing that "should have" killed him. Murray said that Jackson stopped breathing 10 minutes after administering propofol, at Jackson's insistence, since the sedatives he was given didn't seem to have an effect.
