Michael Jackson biopic being shopped around
John Branca, the executor of Michael Jackson, is said to have approached Ivan Reitman and Tom Pollock's Montecito Picture Company to co-finance and produce this untitled biopic. Tom Pollock confirmed that early talks are ongoing, but that both sides are nowhere near a deal at this time.
Although it doesn't seem that a screenwriter has been attached yet, it is that said this biopic will only cover certain parts of Michael Jackson's life. A spokesperson for Michael Jackson's estate would not comment on the story.
A biopic on Michael Jackson's life would likely be a big draw at the box office. Michael Jackson's This Is It, released just four months after his death in 2009, raked in $261 million worldwide.

Either his fame, or his childhood that he never had because of his father, his moments on trial, or pick up where This Is It was going up to the 911 phone call.
Casting the right person will be one hell of a challenge
