"He's one of those great villains that an actor like me likes to play because he has layers - he has a face for the world and a face for himself. He is, in a way, a villain who is a natural actor. All of that is that is delightful and confounding at the same time. It's freeing because of the largeness of it. When he laughs, there's nothing subdued about it. When he screams in rage, there's nothing controlled about it. The amp is turned to 11 at all times."
Peter Weller stars as Batman in both movies, with Ariel Winter playing the new, female Robin and Michael McKean voicing Dr. Bartholomew Wolper, an Arkham Asylum psychiatrist. Mark Valley has also joined the cast of Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 as Superman. The second part will debut sometime in 2013.
Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 was released January 29th, 2013 and stars Peter Weller, Ariel Winter, Michael Emerson, David Selby, Mark Valley, Carlos Alazraqui, Dee Bradley Baker, Paget Brewster. The film is directed by Jay Oliva.

Emerson is a good choice. He strikes me as an intelligent A prerequisite, in my opinion, to bringing a complex character like the Joker to life.

@mcleve02 Yea I dont think hell be as good but he should be decent. The guy who voiced him in Under the Red Hood was really good so im praying that hell do just as good. But Mark Hamill is just classic, no one can top it, hell always be known to us as The Joker

amazing to see how there are so many positive comments regarding casting of the joker, however there were bad comments regarding the casting of batman...lol (not that anyone commenting on this were ones who did). I am interested to see how he will do as well, i really like DC and WB expanding on the legacy of the characters with new voice actors to "try" and fill some pretty big shoes. i am really looking forward to this!

THE JOKER
@SherlockHolmes2009 Yeah. We obviously know he won't be Mark Hamill but I'm sure he will be good

It should be interesting to see how he plays the role, and how he'll voice The Joker

Art sucks in this comic. It's Bats' "All-Star Superman." Ugh. That's just my opinion but I feel it was to be said. Now, that being said, I love the characters... just not their future fat versions.

@narrator haha true, true! Lord knows I myself will almost always enjoy The Joker! ;)

Awesome! Hamill will always be Joker, but that doesn't mean we can't enjoy other iterations of the character. Emerson is a beast actor and seems to have a decent grasp of the Clown Prince of Crime.
