Lol good call Frenzy. It could be a trick, maybe Bay told Hugo to "accidentally" say something to mislead fans. I don't know why that is even a big deal it's just a voice haha. Now if the actual actor was PRESENT in the movie without anyone knowing, that'd be a different story. Why would you hide something so silly like who is doing the voice acting, especially if that voice actor is a well known actor and was already Megatron in the 2007 original? But then he says I think I'm going to pursue Frank on Soundwave, who well all know was Megatron's old cartoon voice. So, is it that he is just getting another voice actor from the cartoon to voice a different character or do you think maybe Hugo was lying to us and he's not returning and Frank might be Megatron? I doubt it, but it's possible nevertheless.

I know Michael Bay is notorious for spitting out false info, so I can't help but wonder about this. As I recall, about a week ago, there was a story on movieweb saying that Hugo Weeving had dropped the fact that Megatron was in Transformer 2 by saying that he had already finished his recordings. So question is, Is Hugo or Frank doing the voice?

Sub-headline on home page: "The director reveals he wants the original voice of Megatron for his sequel."

When I read this, the first thought that ran through my head was "oh sh*t, he must be really mad at Hugo" lol

I think Frank Welker's still got it, he did Megatron on an episode of Family Guy. As for Soundwave if he's still up to it he should voice him as well

It'd definitely be cooler if he was Megatron. And if Megatron is being reborn/rebuilt, it would even work for his voice to be slightly different. No offense to Hugo Weaving, who is awesome, but fans of the old cartoon really would've loved to have Welker back as Megatron, facing off against Peter Cullen again.

Ummmmmm... I think what us fans wanted was for Frank to play Megatron. But Soundwave is alright, too. And Hugo Weaving makes for a great Megatron, so I guess there really isn't any room to complain.

you know what as a kid i always found megatron's voice to be horribly irritating to mine ears, so as much as i appreciate the countless hours of entertainment frank's voice has brought me throughout the years i wasn't too disappointed when he didn't play megatron.
