The twin robots Skids and Mudflap caused a lot of controversy for director Michael Bay in his 2009 blockbuster Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Back in May 2010, Michael Bay confirmed that the robot characters were not coming back for his upcoming sequel Transformers: Dark of the Moon, which arrives in theaters nationwide on July 1. However, an early review of Transformers: Dark of the Moon indicated that Skids and Mudflap are actually in the movie, although Michael Bay has denied it once again. Take a look at a post the director made over the weekend on his official message board, which includes a hefty reward for anyone who can spot Skids and Mudflap in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

After the internet posting of a nice review by someone who saw Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the writer had not been clear on one thing. He misstated that the Twins are in the film. They are not.

So I am offering a $25,000 REWARD to anyone who can find them performing in Transformers 3, on July 1, when the movie opens.

So there you have it. Either Skids and Mudflap will not be in Transformers: Dark of the Moon... or Michael Bay will make an eagle-eyed fan $25,000 richer. It isn't known how one may be able to claim this reward, although it would be surprising if someone actually came forth with proof Skids and Mudflap are in Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

    He knows people hated those two characters, so he's denying their appearance, but he's giving people an incentive to go watch the movie and find the characters, so he still gets his million dollar cut and some lucky viewer will get $25,000. Good way of having people watch the movie even though you know people hated the last one.

    This is lame. I was annoyed by those 2 bots and i am as white as they come! You dont have to be of a certain race to recognize bad taste when you see it. That being said, i have a "tasteless" friend ( He adores Mortal Kombat 2) who couldnt get enough of the twins and was sorley disapointed when i told him they wouldnt be back.

    The Twins have to be in the movie because you can clearly see mudflap in his new black and orange paint scheme in the new trailer as the autobots are rolling in that big warehouse he is all the way in the back, take a look.

    I haven't been reading any of the Transformers news lately. I must've missed it. I just thought it was strange for the man who coined the phrase "Baysplosion" to want to see this. But you're right; it's no stranger than me wanting to see Tree of Life. And for what it's worth it definitely looks better than ROTF.
