Michael Bay describes Transformers: Dark of the Moon as 'epic'
"It's epic and it happens in a city. It's more accessible because you recognize stuff - it's not in a desert. It's kind of like Black Hawk Down with our small group of heroes in a city."
He also talked about one of the new robots in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Sentinel Prime.
"Sentinel Prime is great. He's great. I can't tell you anything else, other than he's great."
Michael Bay also added that the villain Shockwave has, "a much bigger gun [and is] a little bit more vicious," when compared to Megatron. The director also revealed that this will be the last time he directs a Transformers adventure.
"It does have an end, yes. Because I am finished doing this."
Transformers: Dark of the Moon was released June 29th, 2011 and stars Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Julie White, Kevin Dunn, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, Alan Tudyk, John Malkovich. The film is directed by Michael Bay.

I enjoyed Transformers 2, yeah in my opinion Jetfire was annoying and not funny, Sam's mum on drugs was just pointless however the whole idea of Devastator having "balls" was funny and imaginitive. However thats just my opinion, I like action and science fiction and Shia fits the role perfectly and Megan was amazing despite what people say, in my view TF3 will be epic with Sentinel Prime hopefully kicking butt.
I have some high hopes:
1) Bumblebee does not die.
2) Ironhide has his own indiviual fight (same goes with Ratchet)
3) Sam does not die.
4) Sentinel vs Shockwave, Megatron or Soundwave
5) Optimus kicking butt!
6) Epic speech.

@narzion thanks for answering... I agree with you as far as the storyline goes for the transformers movies, and the editing can be too fast at times, im not that crazy about the humor in the transformers movies either i like serious action movies with some small amount of comedic relief but not to much retarded humor like in revenge of the fallen it was hard to take some of that movie seriously.
But if I do go to see a movie at the theater I want to get my moneys worth as far as action choreography, musical score, special effects, excitement, tension build up and believable acting goes.
well everybody lets hope transformers: dark of the moon wont be a let down and that it will be the best transformers movie in the franchise... looking forward to that awsome finally in this movie

The Narrator: The Better Man
@Ensign... you read an article that said the filmmakers thought the first two films were bad (which contradicts they're high regard for the first film), and they went on to state even the third was bad? I'm lost...
@supes1, lol, thanks. Exactly what I meant.
@skywise, yeah man, I was disenchanted.

i really want this to be good and i dont care who is behind the camera i just want it to be the awesome ending that it should be. I was a HUGE Transformers fan as a kid and i had all the toys so i am kind of a geek i guess.
@Narrator you really nailed it about the second one. Your descridbing exactly the disapointment i felt coming out of the theaters. Crosses fingers.

I would like it better without Shia! But I think they are going to turn it around for this one. I read interviews were they admitted the first two, especially the third, were bad.

Haha, you said secondly twice in that last comment, @Narrator. Wouldn't it be thirdly? :P
Well, I hope they're all right then, all I'm going to say on the matter for now.

@narzion he's right. thats what i said with the Oceans movies. 11 was great, 12 sucked, and 13 made up for it and it was really good

The Narrator: The Better Man
Secondly, not just Shia and Bay said the film would be better. Most of the cast and even Spielberg aim to please those disillusioned by the sequel.
Secondly, @narzion, how did you not feel for Optimus or bumblebee? They're the best. :P

The Narrator: The Better Man
Cameron has the bigger ego in himself, where as Bay just has a big ego about him and everyone involved. One thing people say is he gives them due credit if they do good. I think the first film was great! The second, sucked, but while it failed in most areas it had a few pros, such as Optimus being a bad ass for once. Overall, I think this film will be on par with the first film - great pacing, decent story, decent acting, corny dialogue, and mind f*cking action/fx. Overall, it'll be entertaining and cater to fans. That's all I'm looking for.

@narzion stop putting words in my mouth im NOT comparing or saying any movies are better im simply saying all franchises have films that fans dont like so it dosent necessarily mean TF3 will suck
1 year agoby @ajlewisFlag
Narzion
the main problem is @A-J is that the worst movies from other franchises that you said are better than any transformers movie, and yes the 1st transformers was crap

errrrm @ narzion where does it say in my comment that im comparing any of these movies to transformers????

wow wow wow guys, are you comparing the first transformers with movies like alien, original star wars, terminator 1 and 2....THIS IS HILARIOUS

@Narzion really? i liked shia's character. Josh and Tyrese characters are pretty cool too. They just f*cked up on the sequel. the first was awesome. the 3rd will make up for it. look at Oceans 12. sh*tty ass movie but they redeemed themselves with 13. and i disagree with your popcorn movie list. some might be popcorn but one o each usually stands out like the 2nd spiderman, the last bourne movie, and f*cking avatar. those are more then popcorn movies. they're great movies
1 year agoby @pjwolskerFlag
Narzion
@DUB-B YOU ASKED: there is nothing to like, even if you look at it just as a popcorn movie:
-no story (really there is no story, not bad story just no story at all)
-no characters to like (megan fox's ass is as close as it gets)
-terrible CGI ( really, i don't understand how peple like the effects in this movie, they just look silly)
-retarded humor
-terible editing and camera angles ( in 2nd movie i did'tknow what the hell is going on in so called action scenes)
-no acting because there is no script (and robots facial expressions are so f*cking silly that toy story looks more belivable really)
-annoying sound, really annoying and noisy
-it is made just to squeeze the money out of people with no invention, no wit, no sense of anything what is going on the screen, no imagination and no CARE for what you bring in front of the audience
avatar is not a great movie, but it is a great popcorn movie, just like harry potter movies or spiderman movies (without 3), matrix movies, bourne movies,.....many many others
and why am i pissed: after everything , many, many people say that avatar is overrated or that pixar's cars sucks or you name it....and TRANSFORMERS ARE GOOD - so what a f*cked up logic is that, tell me please

I just hope they don't try and make a comedy out of this like Revenge of the Fallen was made into with Sam's mum getting stoned then just being out of control which was horrible to watch because of how unfunny it was.
Also the twins, as much as a bit of light comedy is good for a serious movie but when the comedy is just unfunny it was almost un-watchable at times.
Hopefully this will be 'epic' and not just hyping it up.

@ narzion and anybody else that dont like the transformers movies by michael bay, im not gonna call you guys/girls haters but im just want to know why you dont like them(the transformers movies). Is is the humor, is it the cast, is it the editing, or is it the way the transformers look ect. just curious

@youngrizo totally agree with you on that man
@Narzion he was talking about all that for Bay.. not f*cking Bieber
this movie is going to be amazing
1 year agoby @pjwolskerFlag

@Youngrizo As always, you make good points. My whole point was that I am holding Bay and Shia to their words that this will be an improvement over the last one. They said it, not me. And yes, I'll be seeing it either way, so you can count me among those who will give it a chance and most likely walk away satisfied at some, maybe even most levels. Fair enough? :)
