Metal Gear Solid film won't be happening
I don't think it's going to move forward because I got the sense that there may not be enough of a coordinated will at this point on the side of certain parties to see a movie get made. And I get it because the problem with a lot of these adaptations is it's such a huge franchise for the video game company. A movie can only hurt. If the movie's great, you're probably not going to sell more games. It's such a separate thing. The franchise being as big as it kind of helps the movie...I'm not sure the movie does the same thing for the game.
Of course, that doesn't mean that a Metal Gear Solid film will never happen, as it very well could, but it doesn't seem like we'll be hearing about this for quite some time. click for the full article.

Metal Gear Solid has a better plot. And unfortunately for Halo, the movie will look like a Gears of War clone after the Gears movie comes out. Meaning that strictly to those who don't know Halo anything. Gears has a better plot than Halo as well. Halo's plot is like 20 minutes lol.

This is kind of a downer. I love this franchise to death and it is one of the few video games that exist with such an in depth and well written story. I have replayed these numerous times just because of how enjoyable the stories are. I hope that soon a movie comes together. I think Karl Urban would make a damn fine Solid Snake in a film adaptation.

I thought Metal Gear Solid 4 was the movie? I kid but seriously i'm about 50/50 on this. This is one of my favorite franchises and I wouldn't want to see it end up like Resident Evil or something. But also I think if any game could be a movie this would be it.

This game is one of few that coulf actually be made right for a movie. It takes alot of money to make something be good like Transformers, couse of the many special effects, but Metal Gear, is a sneaking military spi. The only thing for me, is David's voice is what everyone thinks when it comes to Snake, so anyone else as him would be hard to picture. But Hugh Jackman was the same for Wolverine when he was cast in X-men but now he is Wolverine.
