Jason Lee's Memphis Beat canceled by TNT
"The network thanks everyone involved in the production of Memphis Beat for their work on the series, including the great cast and crew. TNT wishes everyone the best."
Memphis Beat was the last TNT show with an uncertain fate. The network canceled Men of a Certain Age back in July, and Hawthorne in September. Ironically, our September report indicated the network was planning on either cancelling Hawthorne or Memphis Beat, with each show reportedly having a 50/50 chance of survival.
Memphis Beat premiered to solid numbers, with 4.3 million viewers tuning in for the pilot, although the numbers steadily declined during Season 2. Memphis Beat starred Jason Lee, Alfre Woodard, DJ Qualls, Leonard Earl Howze, Sam Hennings, and Celia Weston.

I predict "Dallas" will flop after one season..It was and will still be an overrated soap opera.(Not a big draw these days).I guess the 80 year old JR will be chasing the old gals down at the nursing homes..If they spent a third of the money they are spending on Dallas on "Memphis Beat", "Memphis Beat" would have been a top ranked series during any season..As it goes- To TNT- Sometimes there are diamonds in your own back yard..Just look..
