Megan Fox Is the New Buffy?

Megan Fox could be the new Buffy
Cinefools has reported a rumor circulating the industry that Megan Fox is being considered for the title role in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer revamp that's been in talks for just little over a month.
It might be way too early to talk casting news since it is not set up at a studio as of yet.
Would Megan Fox even make a good Buffy the Vampire Slayer?
Buffy the Vampire Slayer comes to theaters in 2012.

Alright I know this is a year-old thread, but I just stumbled upon it. So to anyone still reading archived threads:
F*ck no. I'm glad this did not happen. Plus, too, Megan Fox proved she cannot star as a lead actress when she made Jennifer's Body and it flopped.
@ejk1 The Kuzui's made the first movie and produced the TV show. Without them we wouldn't have had the series.

Sarah is still acting, I've seen her in a few horror films and some drama's but nothing out standing to give her a spot light.

This is one of my favorite shows of all time. At times it was emotional, sexy, funny, dramatic- you know, everything that television shows don't seem to be anymore. Sarah Michelle Gellar played the character so realistically, even though it was a fantasy show. I've read that Joss Whedon is not even involved in this project. So with all of that said, I hope this movie doesn't get made. Megan Fox doesn't deserve this role, and the fans shouldn't be subjected to this nonsense. To Joss, I'm looking forward to the end of the Season Eight comic; to Sarah, I hope you're having fun as Freddie Prinze Jr's wife(please start acting again. It's been awhile since I've seen you in anything); to Megan, go to an acting coach or your career will be over in five years; finally, to the Kuzui's(the producers of this project), go f*ck yourselves.

If FOX makes this I will seriously kill the CEO and the director. Then I will seduce Megan Fox for about a week then toss her to the side like yesterday's trash.

she's hot no doubt, but she lacks a little thing called ACTING TALENT! The only thing i'll watch her in is the TRACI LORDS story, lol. She's eye candy and she needs to accept it!
BUFFY is a uninteresting character, so this should match FOX quite well with the project.

I'd rather watch Buffy, Angel and Spike all collectively die and get resurrected 10 times over in a single film than watch this upcoming Hollywood tripe.

I want these producers to seriously ask themselves, when people hear "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" do they think, oh the Kristy Swanson movie, or do they think, the seven-year running Sarah Michelle Gellar starring, fan-beloved TV series, and they'll realize just how unprofitable it is to alienat that quarter of fans by pulling this sh*t. People don't just love Buffy, they love the whole arsenal of characters. Even if they don't show up in this movie, there needs to be room for them later on. Get Whedon involved more directly in this one, or they might as well call this one "White Girl Blade".
Otherwise this film doesn't matter, and is a preemptive clusterf*ck POS. The fact that they've decided to ignore the TV show, the source of Buffy's major fan base, is insulting enough that this film is a meaningless piece of sh*t already. Yes, I know the original film came first, yes, I know Whedon wrote it (although he always considered the series to be a better execution of his idea) and yes, I know it's a cult classic. But when people hear Buffy, like it or not they primarily think of the TV series and the characters therein.

Fox is getting worse and worse every film. FOX CAN'T ACT! And it's stupid to make a Buffy movie not based on the show, that's where all the fans are.

A revamp Buffy is an ok idea, concidering the first film was prior to the show, and they both had nothing incommon other then the name buffy realy. Fox would be ok as buffy, but the has to move away from both the show and the original movie to make it work in any way. But the fact that the show is being ignored as a partial story-line, or even have a connection, will alienate fans, and maybe push people away couse of the completly diffrent plot, besides killing Vamps. In the show, they spoke of diffrent slayers. So why not just call it Slayer, and make her a vamp killer some where eles, and have Sarah do a cameo as Buffy? that is better then trying to redo a entire story.

if they cast her it shows they really have more interest in making $$ than they do rebooting the franchise. she is already attached to two major franchises, a third could be pushing it (Tomb Raider or Buffy; though I think she might do ok in TR). Buffy either needs to be SMG or an unknown that has the chops and look to bring the dying/dead to back to life. if they recast buffy, then all parts need to be recast and it needs to be given a different feel/look.
