DreamWorks Animation couldn't be stopped on the Blu-ray and DVD charts last week, with MegaMind becoming the first animated release to sweep the Blu-ray sales, DVD sales, and DVD rental charts this year. The feat is even more impressive seeing that MegaMind was released last Friday, as opposed to the normal Tuesday release. The Warner Bros. comedy Due Date, another new release, came in second place on both the Blu-ray and DVD sales charts, although it took 20th place on the rental charts, since the title isn't available on Netflix and Redbox yet.
The only other notable new release was the Warner Bros. animated adventure All-Star Superman, which debuted in fifth place in DVD sales and third place in Blu-ray sales. All-Star Superman made large strides in Blu-ray sales, with a whopping 53% of its total units in the Blu-ray format.
MegaMind was released November 5th, 2010 and stars Will Ferrell, Brad Pitt, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill, David Cross, Justin Theroux, Ben Stiller, Jessica Schulte. The film is directed by Tom McGrath.

Good work Megamind. Nice timing of a release when no kid flicks are coming out in theaters.
