Matthew Modine Takes Aim on the Set of The Dark Knight Rises

Not much is known about Nixon, the character Matthew Modine plays in The Dark Knight Rises. While he appears to be on the Gotham City Police Department, earlier rumors have him pegged as a villain. We have a new batch of set photos from New York City, where director Christopher Nolan continues to shoot this highly-anticipated sequel. Check out Nixon (Matthew Modine), Bane (Tom Hardy), and Batman (Christian Bale) as the Gotham City riots explode around them in the latest photos below.

The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Liam Neeson, Tom Hardy, Christian Bale, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Aidan Gillen, Marion Cotillard. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.

    12th pic, creepy Batman smile lmao! so Nixon's the one that looks like Bush? I'm not sure if he is holding that woman hostage since he has a gun or is he rescuing her? could be either one of those assumptions who knows? and what's up with that lady giving out the "Hitler pose" in the 5th pic down?
