In a story from The Hollywood Reporter, Matthew McConaughey's J.K. Livin production company is currently developing Exchange Student.

Writing the script will be Mike Vukadinovich.

In script, one of the students leaves the United States while the other comes in to it. We see how their lives are effected by the transition.

McConaughey created the story and plans to produce the film. He might even star in the film but not as a lead.
