Ben Stiller has found a replacement for Owen Wilson in his upcoming comedy Tropic Thunder. According to Variety, Matthew McConaughey will now be filling Wilson's shoes.

Wilson dropped out of the project after being hospitalized last month. The role is basically an uncredited cameo. The rest of the cast includes Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., Nick Nolte, Bill Hader and Steve Coogan.

The plot of the film revolves around a group of actors shooting a big budget war movie on a private island who are forced to become they soldiers the are playing. Tropic Thunder is currently shooting in Hawaii.

Tropic Thunder was released August 13th, 2008 and stars Jeff Kahn, Robert Downey Jr., Anthony Ruivivar, Jack Black, Jay Baruchel, Brandon T. Jackson, Ben Stiller, Eric Winzenried. The film is directed by Ben Stiller.
