@skywise Wall Streets good but I think a stock market movie in the hands of Scorsese will make it just as good

@skywise Yep. Would have been good to have the next Olympics in the U.S. Could have helped boost the tourism and stimulate the economy

@bawnian-dexeus I would be surprised if it ever does. I think we might have passed our peak. I hate to be bleak but I fear our future might look something like that of the events that are taking/took place in Greece.

@skywise Well, lets be honest here. Sci-fi is the best way for me to describe the current economy. How long before anything goes down and back on a steady pace?

@bawnian-dexeus Maybe that could be your next project? A Sci fi novel about the adjusting of the world economy. The more I think about it the more I see tons of potential in just how certain governments might accomplish that.

@bawnian-dexeus the science fiction part sounded like well placed sarcasm to me. Sarcasm is my favorite form of humor and it was my way of saying that you are brilliant you lil Buckaroo

@bawnian-dexeus They say that sarcasm is humor for the intelligent. But do I detect a slight tone of bitterness =O

@thedude-abides@skywise@narrator Would love to see someone write a script about fixing the economy. Sounds like it's done before, but at this rate, it will be almost science fiction in realistic terms

@narrator I imagine it would be hard to do something completly, out of the blue original about a wall street movie. Its like trying to make an original WWII movie. But like you said, with the man behind the curtain this could turn out to be one of the most original WS movies to ever grace our screens.

There are big shoes to fill, what with Oliver Stone's original Wall Street. That movie still holds its own even after all these years and was directed very well. In his day Stone was amazing.

I havnt seen his latest so I cant comment but there is no denying that this will probably be compared to that movie.

I imagine Martin understands this and is going to surprise us all by doing what he does best.

@bawnian-dexeus Hahaha! Maybe even a suit?

@narrator That sounds a lot like what I was expecting from this one. I haven't read the script, but I get that vibe from the plot. I'm of the thinking that Silence will be the better of the two Scorsese films in 2013. It is DDL, after all.

  19. the Narrator

Agreed, @thedude-abides. The script (or at least what I've read of it so far) seems pretty practical for a film like this, not to say that it isn't good, but it doesn't scream original. However, in the hands of Scorsese and this cast? The script will be more than enough to get them back in business.

Gotta love his choices of late. He looks amazing in The Paperboy. Hopefully Scorsese will work wonders with him, another excellent addition to this stellar cast.
