Only one of the twins is returning to television. Yes, it's true, Mary-Kate, the edgier Olsen sister, has just nabbed a recurring role on the Showtime pot series Weeds.

Mary-Kate is set to play Tara. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the character is a devote Christian living in the newly developed church community of Majestic. She will be a love interest for Mary-Louise Parker's son on the series. The Olsen sister will appear in 10 of the 15 new episodes that are being produced for this coming season.

Olsen exclaimed, "I'm thrilled to be a part of the show. It's really an honor to be a part of such a talented group of actors and writers."

This will be Mary-Kate's first major solo role. Look for the first third season episode of Weeds to premiere on August 13th.
