@jayaottley 130 minutes seem about average. I like it seems right being that the other movies are between 1 hour and 45 minutes.

@ejk1 -- True, but it's his goal and his initial intentions are what separate him from the crowd. Light was only killing criminals, and he wanted it to stay that way. But after L entered the picture, Lights entire persona changed, along with his motives - and it ultimately became a more sinister approach. The intention of supposedly doing the right thing was still there, and and he never lost sight of the big picture, but he began to achieve the most heinous acts to get where he wanted to be.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Eh, the show proved that many would do it as well. Look at the Yotsuba group. They knew what was going on, and still let it all happen because it benefited them. Light's a great character, but he has flaws and is really no different from many others. The only real difference is that the book dropped in his lap.

@ejk1 -- His intentions lost all credibility after the second or third episode when he displayed his childish antics, but he was still perfect for it. Even though his "moral ground" was shattered in the process, he was absolutely brilliant, not to mention he had the audacity to do things A LOT of people couldn't do.

Lol, @ghostman. I love how we're speculating a lot about BW, but we I'm still having trouble wrapping my mind around Hawkeye being manipulated.

@ghostman She doesn't belong in IM3, anyways. She is part of SHIELD, so I expect her if anything to be part of the Nick Fury film, if not her own.

@narrator At first I did think that was Miley Cyrus for a second :D

About Black Widow again, notice how in the trailer they made it look like Hawkeye shot one of his arrows at her? And that Hulk chasing after Widow scene like you mentioned, she looked as if she was running for her life. It looks like Widow doesn't have a chance in The Avengers :/ Here's where it gets really interesting though. You know that Black Widow comic book coming out soon? To accurately write the movie version of Black Widow into the series, Van Lente was allowed to read Joss Whedon's script; which means he's one of the few to know what is going to happen in the movie. It makes sense that Marvel would want to tell more of her story via comic books since she hasn't had her own movie yet. When asked about the comics he noted "...who knows where she'll be after The Avengers, maybe she doesn't even make it out alive at the end?" What does that tell you? Black Widow might be killed off! ScarJo also mentioned that she hasn't signed on for Iron Man 3 another reason to believe her character might die.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx Light was far from perfect for the DN. If anything, he was symbolic of the credo "Absolute power corrupts absolutely." Once he killed FBI agents, he lost the moral high ground.

@ejk1 -- Well, I watched the show first, so I don't think It would have that same profound effect on me as the aforementioned did. Eh, that's kind of the part I dislike. I (personally) don't want to see a legacy, at all - it comes across as "there's still hope", when in reality, there's not. Light was perfect for the death note, and now that's said and done.

L is an outstanding character, and Death Note was kind of hard to watch after those events, but it eventually became thrilling again and ended with a bang.

If my sentences don't seem fully coherent, it's because I don't want to spoil anything for our said future watcher.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx@bawnian-dexeus The ending to the manga resonates more because Ryuk tells Light he's going to kill him. It made the last seconds of his life that much more tense to see. The ending also illustrates that the legacy of Kira will live on, which allows the reader to come to their own conclusions about how Misa and co. continues Light's path. Overall, though, for me both the manga and anime suffer once L is replaced by Mello and Near. They basically took one character, L, and replaced him with two.

@Joshua-Hollaway you can probably stream the series on the internet, and you can definitely find the manga at sites like mangareader.com.

Also, if you liked Death Note, you may want to read the prequel book Death Note:Another Note-The LA BB Murder Cases. It's a good read.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx I think the point of it was to find balance. Hell, even Ryuk, with all his amusement towards humans, was partially aware of the outcome. All good things come to an end, both the meaning towards Light and the show

  23. Nicholaus XX

@bawnian-dexeus -- Agreed. Was I the only one that found it to be an absolutely devastating conclusion, though? Hell, I personally found the finale depressing, mainly because the climax that we spent 37 or so episodes expecting ultimately took a huge turn.

@XxNickTheFilmCriticXx I only ever saw the anime series in high school. Personally, it ended perfectly. The God he so fought to become thus suffered a mortal error to his death. The genius of the Characters from L to Near was brilliant with its dialog and brainy wits. Then you have Ryuk; one of my favorite japanese characters, was delightful.

@bawnian-dexeus -- It really is. It's actually my second all-time favorite show, behind Breaking Bad, of course. What about you? And I don't mean to be over-observant, but I'm hearing mixed feedback - most negative - concerning the ending. A lot of people like the ending for the manga better, which I looked up on Wiki and winded up not liking it nearly as much as the ending for the TV show.

    Answer if you wish.

Holy hell, this article got tortured by the amounts of redundant information being thrown around. Lol.

@ghostman, I hope she doesn't die. I mean, ScarJo's Widow really needs more development. I couldn't help but note that Hulk was chasing a frightened looking Widow inside of what looked like the Avengers headquarters in the trailer, so either Loki will manipulate him, have Hawkeye manipulate him, or Widow's a baddie (or being manipulated) and Hulk's trying to "smash puny sexy spider!". Lol. What do you think?

And btw, that photo... sexy as hell. It's weird that that chick looks a bit like Miley Cyrus, though. 0_o

@Joshua-Hollaway -- Speaking of Naruto, have you seen Death Note?

@ghostman -- I guess not, but that's not exactly what shocked me beyond belief - it was the manner in which he performed it. I was almost about to ask for reassurance, because I think he just copy/pasted that reply from his previous post.
