The track will appear on Avengers Assemble, a compilation of songs inspired by and used in this summer's Marvel's The Avengers. The album will be in stores and available for download starting May 1st, along with the score by Alan Silvestri. Soundgarden plans to release their first album in nearly two decades later this year.
In related soundtrack news, Indian film distributors UTV Motion Pictures have teamed with Marvel Studios to produce their own unique soundtrack for Indian audiences. Instead of hearing Soundgarden wail away at Live to Rise, they will get the hugely popular international band Agnee with the song Hello Andheron, which was written by noted filmmaker Abbas Tyrewala. The band recently performed the song live for the first time with Iron Man in attendance. While we don't have footage of that, we do have the official music video. Marvel's The Avengers was released May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

This is awesome news. I trust it will be better than the Foo Fighters track from Thor. I'm a Foo fan, but that song is the weakest on that album.
