We'll have to wait until Sunday to find out how director Joss Whedon's action ensemble performs in its domestic debut, but don't be surprised to see a few records broken over the weekend.
Marvel's The Avengers was released May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

@SherlockHolmes2009 I have to disagree with you on that. I saw The Avengers earlier tonight, and it looked absolutely amazing just in regular 3D. I went into the theater thinking that regualr 3D might not look any good at all, and i came out of the theater after the movie and scenes during and after the credits, realizing that i was completely wrong about that.

@themoviefanatic I was talking to Jay A Ottley and he said the transfer of the 2D to 3D wasnt good, especially the final battle, he said it didnt look as good as the 2D

I just found out this morning that none of the theaters in the area where i live, will be showing it in IMAX 3D so i'll try to go and see it in the next best thing which is just 3D.

@SherlockHolmes2009 I've seen movies in IMAX 3D before, and it looks just as good as movies in IMAX 2D. I've even seen movies before in IMAX 3D, that were not even filmed in 3D and they still looked good in IMAX 3D.
