Marvel is not in talks with Fox to swap characters such as Galactus and Silver Surfer
Our earlier report also indicated that Joe Carnahan is in talks to direct the Untitled Daredevil Reboot. Fox's rights to the blind vigilante reverts back to Marvel Studios if production hasn't started by October 10. It is believed that the studio is ready to let go of the franchise, unless the Disney-owned Marvel Studios is interested in co-financing. It is possible that Joe Carnahan could bring his take on the reboot to Marvel, after the rights change hands.
Fox is said to be more passionate about the Fantastic Four reboot from director Josh Trank (Chronicle), than the languishing Untitled Daredevil Reboot.

I like Daredevil but I would rather see FF back in Marvel's hands because I would love to see the real Galactus &/or the real Doctor Doom as villains in Avengers 2 more Doom then Galactus because of how well they did Loki I want to see that for Doom.

Honestly, I'd rather see Daredevil go back to Marvel than Fantastic Four. I feel like between Thor and Guardians, they've got a good slate of cosmic heroes, and there's no need to bring in Galactus or the Silver Surfer when they've got all the Thor mythos to explore. On the other hand, Marvel lacks the singular New York heroes. Stark and Cap are now firmly entrenched in the Avengers universe, and will probably always be beholden to that larger story. If they were to get Daredevil, they would have the chance to do a really good hero on the street type story that feels a lot smaller than those A-list characters, while still existing in the same larger Marvel universe. In the absence of Spidey and the X-Men, Daredevil would seem a great way to do that. Plus, seeing any characters revert back to Marvel would be a really inspiring ch*nk in the armour of the machine and would really excite fans over the eventual possibility of Marvel eventually having ownership of ALL their characters.

Heard this yesterday. Here are some thoughts:
@tekkamandan Shadowland was horribly done in the comics, and almost killed the character. They will never do that story in film.
@phatalphd Why pony up money for something Fox is seemingly willing to let them have for free? Just have to play the waiting game until October 10th.
I have an idea for a DD quadrilogy, which I will divulge in a forum in a few days. Perhaps Marvel will pony up and hire me if someone there reads what I write, lol.

My only fear is, if Marvel gets the rights back, with Disney behind it, will it be dark enough for a Daredevil movie. No doubt will look great, with actors fitting the roles. But DD is a dark and often bloody character, via his villains. Electra and Bulls-eye alone are assassins.

Marvel is a company that seems to do no wrong atm. With their guidance and money invested into these two reboots maybe just maybe they will be something that seems worth kicking up a fuss about.

it is unfortunate that during the 90's Marvel was unavble to fund their own film projects leading them to sell the film rights to certain IP's (which they still own). This led to Blade, Spiderman and X Men all being released in quick succesion kicking off the superhero boom. Now Marvel is in a position to create its own movies but they still make money off all of their IP's.

Stinks. I hate that Marvel had to whor* out characters in the beginning, but I get that it's not an easy process to get em back. One day. And despite that, I still find myself saying Make Mine Marvel these days.

Well, that's disappointing. Fox should definitely just cut their loses and give back the FF characters Marvel's wanting so they can make a badass DD film. With more time, they could do it right and eventually open up to a critically and financially acclaimed franchise. Plus, DD is a gillion times better than the FF. And after the abominations that were the original 2 films, is anyone going to be THAT excited for a reboot? I still get sick thinking about those films. >:X

Copyrights can be a pain sometimes

This is so retarded....Marvel should just pony up and buy all the rights back. Makes no sense at all for certain characters to be owned by other companies. And if I was marvel, no way id give them an extension.

Fox is being greedy because they know they're standing on a metaphorical gold mind... But if they're not going to do Marvel any justice, the rights might as well revert back.

I really hope the rights do revert back to Marvel. I want but to see Daredevil in the Shadowland story arc, but I want it to be done right. And Fox definitely won't do it right.
