Martin Scorsese Set to Direct The Invention of Hugo Cabret

Martin Scorsese has recently signed on to direct the feature film adaptation to The Invention of Hugo Cabret. According to Variety, Graham King will produce the children's book adaptation, which will be written by John Logan.

The Invention of Hugo Cabret was written by Brian Selznick and is about a 12-year-old orphan living in a Paris train station in 1930. He becomes embroiled in a mystery involving his father and a robot.

No word on when production for The Invention of Hugo Cabret is scheduled to start.

Hugo was released November 23rd, 2011 and stars Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Moretz, Ray Winstone, Emily Mortimer, Christopher Lee, Helen McCrory. The film is directed by Martin Scorsese.

    Can't go wrong with Martin Scorsese! The plot seems a bit bizarre and off, but if someone can pull it off, it's Martin! None of his movies have let me down yet...
