Martin Scorsese could be developing a Goodfellas TV series
Goodfellas screenwriter/author Nicholas Pileggi has confirmed that a TV series based on Goodfellas is in the works with Martin Scorsese attached to develop the project. Here's what Nicholas Pileggi had to say to Digital Spy:

"I want to do it, Marty wants to do it, Warner Bros wants to do it. Of course, you can't pick up from Goodfellas, since we murdered everybody, or rather, everybody was murdered! There's nobody left. But I think we're going to figure out a way to do the early years - sort of a prequel."

We first reported on this TV project last month, when it was said that Nicholas Pileggi would write the pilot episode. Nicholas Pileggi first wrote the book Wiseguy on the life of gangster Henry Hill before adapting the book with Martin Scorsese into the now-classic movie Goodfellas.

Goodfellas was released October 19th, 1990 and stars Robert De Niro, Ray Liotta, Joe Pesci, Lorraine Bracco, Paul Sorvino, Frank Sivero, Tony Darrow, Mike Starr. The film is directed by Martin Scorsese.
