Endgame Entertainment is moving forward with its drama Umbra, hiring Martin Campbell to direct and Paul Haggis to rewrite the script.

We first reported on this project back in October 2010, when Joe Carnahan signed on to direct and rewrite the original script by Steven Karczynski. Joe Carnahan recently dropped out of the project, but it is said that his departure was amicable. The story centers on a businessman who gets caught up in a conspiracy when a strange package arrives at his home.

James D. Stern is producing for Endgame Entertainment, alongside Hal Lieberman and Martin Campbell's producing partner, Lucienne Papon.

Production is scheduled to begin this spring.

Sounds like Enemy Of The State, and after the movie that was Green Lantern I'm not jumping for joy when I hear that Martin is directing a been there done that formula movie.
