Mark Wahlberg Goes After Prisoners

According to Variety Mark Wahlberg is all set to start in the thriller Prisoners.

The screenplay was written by Aaron Guzikowski.

The film follows a man from Boston who goes "vigilante" when his daughter and her friend are kidnapped.

Endeavor, which represents Wahlberg and Guzikowski, is looking to attach a director before they start trying to interest studios.

    Exactly. How embarrassing! I mean because Taken was such a surprise hit, I guess this got greenlit. I cannot understand how though. I mean it is the EXACT SAME CONCEPT. I will laugh my ass off if they make him a cop or some kind of agent.

    i like Wahlberg, though.that is the only reason i might see this. but its still gonna suck and be unoriginal unless its set in the future or does something unexpected. when i say the future, i mean like the world of Minority Report or something like that

    i liked shooter, and although marky mark's acting has been hit or miss he generally makes entertaining movies. im with shelley, ill check this out on dvd when it comes out.

    im still waiting for the movie with mark and donnie both.

    Sounds like crap. He's a good actor (The Departed, The Perfect Storm, The Italian Job, etc.) but he has his bad ones (Max Payne, Shooter, etc.) but I'm tired of all the movies where people hunt for kidnappers. It's not interesting anymore.
