Mark Ruffalo sees more Hulk and The Avengers sequels on the horizon
Empire recently spoke with Mark Ruffalo in regards to reprising his Bruce Banner role once he was done shooting The Avengers. The actor revealed that there are many possibilities, not only for sequels to The Avengers, but also for more stand-alone movies featuring The Incredible Hulk character. Here are some excerpts from the article:

"They set up several pictures over a couple of years and possibly there will be another The Incredible Hulk movie. There'll probably be a couple more Avengers too, which would be fun. The way I see it, Edward Norton has bequeathed this role to me. I reckon the part is my generation's Hamlet, and there's still some room for interpreting who The Incredible Hulk is."

We'll be sure to keep you posted with any further information on The Avengers sequels and future The Incredible Hulk sequels as soon as that news becomes available.

Marvel's The Avengers was released May 4th, 2012 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Clark Gregg. The film is directed by Joss Whedon.

    Look, to all those who are crying over statements like my own, do you realize that youre contradicting yourselves? Youre basically saying for people to accept the opinions of others and youre knocking the ones who are knocking the opinions.

    My only point, is that if you have an opinion, and its f*cking stupid, then expect my opinion to transition into fact when i call you out on it. My statement stands, stop being a bunch of whiny pussies.

    and daveactor 7 your wrong, not to be a dick or anything but part of the recast of Ruffalo is trying to keep Hulk within the same universe they have been creating. they recast cuz of Norton having issues or w/e, but they rn't changing the character the same character that was in Incredible Hulk will be in Avengers, just played by Ruffalo, and he would then be the same in his own solo movie as Hulk.

    i got so side tracked i forgot to mention the obvious, and what the article is about, Incredible Hulk, which personal i hope gets a sequel that comes out within 6 months of Avengers, that is me just bein extremely hopeful though. either way that is 13 movies.

    so marvel has thor, cap and Avengers in the next two years, after that we don't know what they have coming for sure, but we do know that Iron Man, Thor, Cap and Avengers will all be getting sequels, and we know that they are seriously considering/ for sure making Iron Fist, Dr. Strange, Luke Cage, Black Panther and Ant Man. That is 9 films after the first Avenger movie, I hope they start making 3 to 4 movies a year or something, cuz otherwise i'll be waiting til i'm 40 for Thor 3 or for Moon Knight movie. oh yeah i forgot bout SHIELD, thats 10 movies. and if u include say thor 3 and cap 3 thats 12. Marvel is making a sh*t ton of movies in the next 5 years, this will be nuts.

    Nortons Hulk movie is my all time favourite cartoon turned movie film.. its so true to the comic IMO..
    shame Norton is out, but Ruffalo may wear the shoe perfectly,.. who knows.. give him a chance..

    @ejk1 u never knw. But i very much doubt that will happen. I'm pretty sure they're gonna make it another reboot/sequel like they did with the incredible hulk

    It all lingers on Ruffalo's performance. I was skeptical of Edward Norton and he turned out to be pretty good, in my opinion.

    More so than even Iron Man was, The Incredible Hulk set itself up for a sequel nicely with what happened in the lab with Dr. Samuel Sterns. The Leader is on his way, and hopefully will bring the Abomination back with him.

    @Rojodiablo thank u agreed.
    I think Incredible hulk was a decent superhero movie but the hulk (2003) was a decent science fiction/suspenseful movie

    So tired of hearing about which film was this or that, I liked both Hulk films and will like the next one to. Ang Lee's version was a bit too long but still very entertaining to me.

    LOL @Marcusx Norton didnt delve deeper into the character of Bruce Banner he was simply a fugitive on the run, trying to find a cure. That was no character development.
    And dude its an opinion so get used to it. I didnt say anything wrong.
    If people care about the hulk only because he can smash things up thats plain stupid. The hulk and Bruce Banner are one, there for there should be a strong character insight. Ang lee's film tried to portray that but failed. Louis Leterrier's film tried and failed to show a deeper character although Norton did a great job portraying Banner's struggle to stay one step ahead of the military.
    Cgi? Dude cgi and character have to work well together in order for a film to work. Look at inception for example or avatar (which i hate)
    @Diaigma I agree

    I just want more Hulk, maybe even an improvement from the Norton one. I know. I loved Norton's Hulk, but it could have been a bit better.

    2 years agoby @diaigmaFlag

  23. Marcusx

    No, no one cares about Hulks 'character development'. The only reason people like him is because he is a wreckless destructive uncontrollable behemoth with a bad temper. Bruce Banner, sure, we could delve into that a bit. But Norton did already. As far as Im concerned, Mark Ruffalo is simply getting Nortons sloppy seconds. (and dont you dare speak that of Norton after Ang Lee's sh*t film.)

    Dr Jekyl may be, but thats a seperate story all together and shares only the similarity that there are 2 seperate personas. The brainless Hulk is only as good as the city he leaves in ruins behind him.

    BTW, prior to this new take on Hulk, there is no difficulty portraying him since he was entirely made of CGI! That was a moronic statement. Take it back. its okay, i'll wait.

    @Worth Norton did a good job but the screenplay should have been better. The script was horrible for the movie. The incredible hulk was a decent movie but an improvement over hulk 2003

    @Marcusx acting isnt easy dude. The hulk is a really complex character despite him being uncontrollable. He's basically a Jekyll and Hyde sort of story. I can't wait to see what Ruffalo does with the character

    Mark Ruffalo is such a d-bag

    "...and there's still some room for interpreting who The Incredible Hulk is."

    Ya know, because when Hulk isnt throwing tanks and pouncing helicopters, he also has a sensitive side and is an avid fan of The View.
