Marco Schnabel (Austin Powers) is reteaming with Mike Myers to direct the self-help comedy, The Love Guru for Paramount Pictures; it will mark his directorial debut.

Myers co-wrote with Graham Gordy, and will also produce; it centers on a self-help guru named Pitka who is called upon to solve a couple's romantic problems. Mike worked at crafting the character at several theaters in Manhattan, adds The Hollywood Reporter

An August start date has been set for The Love Guru; a June 2008 release is scheduled.

The Love Guru was released June 20th, 2008 and stars Mike Myers, Jessica Alba, Justin Timberlake, Romany Malco, Meagan Good, Ben Kingsley, Verne Troyer, Jessica Simpson. The film is directed by Marco Schnabel.
