According to Variety, Mandalay Pictures has tapped Marc Schoelermann to make his directorial debut on the Mischa Barton starrer Hexxx. The goal is to begin production in the spring.

Apartment 3B Prods. principal Jennifer Klein is producing the supernatural thriller centering on college students in New Orleans. John Raffo and Mark Gibson wrote the script.

Mandalay acquired the project in turnaround from MGM late last year.
