Maniac Set Photos Featuring Elijah Wood and Genevieve Alexandra

Elijah Wood was recently spotted on the set of director Franck Khalfoun's upcoming Maniac remake, written and produced by Piranha 3D director Alexandre Aja. Seen here menacing his latest victim (Genevieve Alexandra) with his signature buck knife, Elijah Wood will recreate the role of Frank from the original 1980 horror classic Maniac, about a creepy loner who works in an antique mannequin shop by day, then kills helpless woman at night due, in part, to his hatred towards his abusive mother. Maniac comes to theaters June 21st, 2013 and stars Elijah Wood, Hank Azaria, Nora Arnezeder, Sal Landi, Délé Ogundiran, Dan Hunter. The film is directed by Franck Khalfoun.

    It's funny seeing actors like Elijah Wood that normaly play good guy roles, play bad guy roles. Oh well he's still a hobbit, a dragon, a penguin and so on XD.

    The original was so gritty, gory and uncomfortable. This in no way will live up to it. I wouldn't be surprised if this was rated Pg-13.

    I would like to see Elijah come back into the LOTR as Frodo since the ending of it was open ended. I would like to see that last adventure of his.
