@addictionnonfatel thanks for the link man, Sucks Zod's outfit will be mostly CGI, but I have read reports that it looks pretty bad ass. I actually am loving the Superman suit more and more. I hope this turns out great for everyone

  13. ROFLitschristian

@superman81 If done right it might. I just find so many flaws withing his universe. Of course the obvious one, he has all these powers and the only thing that stops him is a rock? The fact he has numerous powers and leaves that as his margin of error aggravates me. And his disguise is a pair of glasses. :\ I don't see this movie really changing my mind, but there's always that chance.

@zanyzap Looking back the TDKR teaser was released an entire year before the release of the movie. So the odds seem good that the teaser for Man of Steel could be released next month. 11 months before its release.

@ROFLitschristian you handled your thoughts on Superman like a champ. I think he is like Spider Man. You either love him or hate him. I have never found a person that could care less. Most people who dislike Superman hate him like he stole from them. They go to great lengths to let it be known. I guess its cause most people like him, it like he became the New York Yankees. But I hope this movie changes your mind about him.

  18. ROFLitschristian

@superman81 Yeah, maybe I was a little out of line calling him a douche, but like you, I also appreciate that you're not responding like an internet troll! You're the kind of person I enjoy discussing movies with. :P
I feel like this could be Snyder's ace in the hole, because like I said, I'm in no ways a Superman fan, but I have been slightly intrigued by this one. It's just with Snyder's history in film, the last thing I'm putting into this film are high expectations.

@renodc I have to agree with you on 300. Visually stunning for its time, but I found the pacing slow, characters 1 dimensional, and the narrator? Drove me crazy. Felt like I was actually watching a comic book move.

  20. Superman81

@bawnian-dexeus will be hard to see him act Kryptonian when he was raised as a human. But there was a scene description where Zod ask him if he recognized his own language. He was speaking to Superman in kryptonian and called him Kal-El. I think he will embrace his purpose on earth and this will be what Superman fans are wanting. People want Superman to be this bad ass but forget his compassion for life is what separates him from everyone else. He truly is earths greatest hero. If Superman didn't have compassion and restraint then it would be death for everything. Only bullsh*t kryptonite can stop him and that's played out. Without it he would rule with no resistance.

  21. Bawnian©-Dexeus

My only concern is if they plan on having Supes act like a kryptonian (for once) or still be human on the outside

  23. Superman81

@moviemouse superman isnt overrated and his powers have been taken back from what he use to could do. Darkseid and Doomsday aren't lame ass villains nor is Metallo and Brainiac when done right. @ROFLitschristian I respect you for stating ur opinion and not being an ass about it. I can appreciate people like you. Even though you did call him a douche. Lol! I'm hoping Goyers story will be as good as what he did for Batman. I know Snyder has said this movie will be Gigantic and he seems like he is taking it very serious. So only time will tell.

  24. renodc

@ROFLitschristian I think it's hit or miss with Snyder. I thought Watchmen was right on the money. I wasn't as fond of 300 as most, but it was OK. My biggest concern with Snyder stems from the fact that he did make that steaming pile of cr@p Sucker Punch. That was an absolutely atrocious movie.

    11 months agoby @renodcFlag

  25. ROFLitschristian

@superman81 I know Superman means a lot to you guys, but are fans really putting so much trust into Snyder's version? I know Nolan had helped out some, but this is Snyder we're talking about. Visual wise this movie will be spectacular... but story, character, and development wise, I just don't see it.

@moviemouse I don't think he'll seem overrated in the upcoming Man of Steel movie. I think something will be different in the upcoming movie, than they are in the superman comics and previous Superman movies.

Superman is as good a character as he ever was. What dates Superman is the massive shift in moral culture. Using a professional wrestling term, he is the ultimate clean-cut "face" (i.e. good guy), and if you followed wrestling in the past those guys like Hulk Hogan, Dusty Rhodes, Ultimate Warrior, Sting, etc. got over huge with the fans. Today, if you introduce a wrestler in those molds nobody cares, but introduce a face that is completely irresponsible, cusses, drinks and questions "the man" and the fans will go nuts. Case in point, Dwayne Johnson was booed relentlessly when he debuted as Rocky Maivia because he was being played in the traditional face role, but they reinvented him as the "pie eating" and "jabroni slappin" wise a$$ known as the Rock and the fans went crazy. Same holds true with Superman he's too clean cut, responsible, and morally conscious for today's fans. Probably one of the reasons why the U.S. is going to sh!t at a break neck pace. For Superman to be a monster success, they are going to have to make him a little more edgier.
