Is the Man of Steel flying to West Africa?
"A young reporter named Clark Kent roams the world covering various news stories. When he is compelled to use his secret powers to intervene in a crisis in West Africa, he returns to Smallville to learn more about his origins and the hero he was born to be."
So what could Zod have to do with this plot?
Not much is know at this point, but it was revealed Thursday that the main female villain in Man of Steel will be Faora, a DC Comics character that was used as the basis for Ursa in Superman II.
Man of Steel comes to theaters June 14th, 2013 and stars Henry Cavill, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Michael Shannon, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.

@themoviefanatic Bc Zod has been done before in so many superman movies/toons. We all know whats going to happen. Superman is going to send him back to the Phantom Zone like hes done every other time. Done and Done. If Snyder wants to start fresh he shouldnt go with Zod.

This sounds good. Superman can fly pretty fast, so it makes sense to take the fight all over the world. Not everything Superman does has to be in Metropolis. That being said, I don't know how much of this is true. Hard to believe anything the Nolan's are involved in would be leaked, but considering that Snyder needs as much good press right now as possible, it could very well be the way the film is going.

This movie is going to be awesome. We will have Clark at home in smallville, metropolis, and if this is true Africa and maybe some other local areas. Snyder will show us more depth to Clark like Smallville has done for ten years. And I know some people hate smallville but I love it and it gave us a whole new take on Clark and superman. It also was afraid to show his villains and the justice league. Things the movies have yet to do. Maybe doomsday wasnt up to par but hey they tried and we saw a live action doomsday. Maybe Snyder will put these guys in his next movies if this one does good. I'm hyped for this movie and sad to see smallville go.
