Back in November, Michael Shannon, who plays General Zod, revealed he does not actually say, "Kneel before Zod" in the movie. Director Zack Snyder said there is another famous part of the Superman canon that will not be included.
"I'll be honest with you, there's no Kryptonite in the movie."
While Superman's main weakness will not be a part of the film, Henry Cavill revealed that his title character does have some emotional baggage.
"Although he is not susceptible to the frailties of mankind, he is definitely susceptible to the emotional frailties."
Amy Adams also revealed that her Lois Lane is also much different than previous versions of the character.
"I think she's very transient. She's ready to pick up and go at a moment's notice. I think that definitely could be part of what she sees in Superman - not really laying down roots, not developing trust."
Producer Charles Roven said that while this movie does have the "Wow" factor, it is emotionally satisfying as well.
"You want to give the audience great spectacle. You want them to go to the movie, be eating their popcorn and be like, 'Wow!' But it's just not good enough to give them the 'Wow.' You want them to be emotionally engaged. Because if you just have the 'wow,' ultimately you get bludgeoned by that and you stop caring."
Man of Steel was released June 14th, 2013 and stars Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Antje Traue, Harry Lennix, Richard Schiff. The film is directed by Zack Snyder.
