    @Kryptonite I'm not dissing the movie. Rather simply stating that it took too many liberties with the property to be a true adaptation of the character.

    @comicbookfan I AM a Die-Hard Superman fan and no it didn't follow the Superman mythos. Getting that out of the way...I loved the movie. I'll explain you why right now...1st...IT'S F*CKING SUPERMAN. 2nd...In my opinion I wanted to see something new and fresh, I didn't wanted to see the same old stories that were in the comics. Why? Because I've read most of them and I would know what happened, even with some twists if they stay true to the comics their end game would still be the same. 3rd...This is a Superman for a new Era, people who had not been born by the time the Christopher Reeve's movies came out in theaters and for people who had never picked up a comic book in their life. A Superman with more action, more humanity (so that people relate with him in some aspects) and a great new storyline completely different from anything we have seen so far. That's why I loved the movie, if you love your Superman mythos, great for you, I love them too but why people need to diss on a movie of SUPERMAN (the greatest Superhero of all time) because it wasn't faithful to the stories we've already seen before!? It doesn't make sense! Do people want to see the same thing over and over again?

    The movie wasn't as pure awesome as I hoped it'd be, but it was still good enough for me to own it on DVD.

    Die-hards know that "Man of Steel" was not faithful to the character. For the rest of everybody who liked it regardless, great, good for you, it has some good action scenes and I guess an interesting, stand-alone, original story. But it doesn't change the fact that it was a disgrace to the Superman mythos. Ask Mark Waid.

    @jonspidey couldn't agree more, and yeah the theater was indeed the right place to watch it and if you can afford in 3D

    @aylagas55@h-ryuga Yes worst story as in worst adaptation of the Superman mythos. Okay besides Smallville, that is. Superman Returns was actually pretty faithful minus Supes using his X-ray and Super hearing to spy on Lois which he would never do. Look at the source material backstory then look at Man of Steel. Complete opposites.

    @XxNickTheFilmCriticXx No thanks.

    Out of all the cool posters, did they just have to chose the worst one for the cover art? Doesn't even look like Cavill.
