Malin Akerman to play Linda Lovelace
According to Variety, Matthew Wilder will direct from his own screenplay, based on 1980's "Ordeal: An Autobiography" by Linda Lovelace and Mike McGrady. Linda Lovelace became world famous in 1972, due to the massive success of Deep Throat, but renounced her pornography career in "Ordeal" and alleged that it had been forced upon by her sadistic husband.
Linda Lovelace subsequently became allied with anti-pornography feminists. She died in 2002 following a traffic accident.
Lindsay Lohan's involvement with Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story was announced earlier this year and she traveled to Cannes to help sell the film but Matthew Wilder indicated that the impossibility of insuring her required him to seek another actress. Lindsay Lohan was ordered last month by a judge to remain at a rehabilitation facility until at least Jan. 3.
Principal photography will begin in February.
Inferno: A Linda Lovelace Story was released in 2011 and stars Malin Akerman, Bill Pullman, Sharon Stone. The film is directed by Matthew Wilder.

Ok, i'm on board once again. Malin Akerman is a really good pick to play Linda. I really am fairly intrigued. There aren't a lot of biopics on porn actors when really they lead more dramatic lives than anyone lol. I'm really pullin for this film to get made and be released.

I'd like to think anyone could make a turnaround with their life (God knows plenty of celebrities have), but that requires serious effort on that individual's part. Lohan has the same trashy, careless outlook on life as Paris Hilton, only Hilton can literally buy her way out of problems. So until she grows up, puts the cocaine down, closes her legs from time to time, and decides to have some self respect, she will continue down this road into oblivion.

I think her career is too far gone for her to ever make a decent comeback. I can count at least 5 of her unreleased films now that were ready to come out but were instead shelved because she was an unreliable, rambunctious cocaine junkie. And what happened to the movie Florence? I'm sure that project died like her career. She was fired from at least 3 movies this year, counting Inferno. Her and her career are too far gone IMO. She was a great talent and coulda been a better actress. What a waste.

Bwahahahahaha!!! Why was she able to do Machete? She already escaped her jail sentence by doing only 2 weeks because she is a celebrity...er, I mean, "the jail was full." She needs to stay in rehab way longer than just "till January," I'm sorry, but how many times has she went to rehab for a few months and came out only to relapse on cocaine and booze and hit the wall again? Hmmm, what's that? Every single time and she was even on house arrest a few times? Yep, that's right. Also her movies are either shelved or she is fired depending on her social status. That's what happens when you become the trash of Hollywood. I used to adore Lindsay as a Disney girl, but once the drugs and sex came, she became garbage.

This entire project seems pointless. She gave blowjobs in a movie from a long time ago, then became an advocate against porn after revealing that she was abused. Sounds like 95 percent of the women that get into that business' story. I know that sounds cold, and it sucks (pun intended) that she got the raw end of the stick (haha), but really... better stories could have resources allocated to them then this.
