Magnolia Pictures Picks Up Warlords
According to Variety, Warlords is set amid the upheaval during the Taiping Rebellion of the 1860s, with Li starring as a general who survives a massacre of his fellow soldiers by playing dead and joins a band of bandits.
The film was a hit in China, winning eight Hong Kong Film Awards, including director for Peter Chan and actor for Li.
Warlords was released April 10th, 2010 and stars Jet Li, Andy Lau, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Jinglei Xu, Bao-ming Gu, Xiaodong Guo, Zhaoqi Shi, Dong Dong Wang. The film is directed by Peter Ho-Sun Chan, Wai Man Yip.

What's the point?
By the way this film is f*cking awesome by the way.
Went to the Asian Festival Primere to see this and Red Cliff 1 & 2, amazing that is all i can say...
I have this on DVD, don't see the point of a theatre release, but whatever tickles their fancy

Geez I did not realize Andy Lau has been in 141 movies and is a Cantonese pop artist winning the most awards ever. He looks very familiar but can not find any films that I have seen since most of them are Asian.
