Miller will be working on this film, and Justice League of America concurrently - the latter is also set up at Fox Studios.
The site speculates that Mad Max: Fury Road will be released before Justice League of America.
The filmmakers will have to find a new 'Mad Max' as Miller has stated that he will not be using Mel Gibson again, but a younger face.
The original three films in the franchise starring Mel Gibson, featured the actor playing a cop in a futuristic Australian dystopia ruled by wandering groups of thugs, all fighting over precious resources, such as gasoline. This sequel will take place in a similar setting.
Mad Max: Fury Road is in development and stars Nicholas Hoult, Zoë Kravitz, Tom Hardy, Teresa Palmer, Charlize Theron, Adelaide Clemens, Riley Keough. The film is directed by George Miller.

They started a new Batman so why cant they start a new Mad Max the title is Mad Max Fury Road nothing to say its a follow on or a Prequel Gibson was good but remakes are appearing all the time now so get with the times and wait for the release before you start moaning...

Mel Is Mad Max! What The Hell Are These People Thinking. I Remember Hearing Rumors That Michael Biehn Was Replacing Mel But, It Seems That Producers Are Looking For A Younger Actor To Play Max. So Is This Movie Going To Be A Prequel Because Max Looked Like He Was In His Late 30's In "Beyond Thunderdome."

If anyone can do it, George Miller can, he doesnt need Mel Gibson, just like the new 007 films dont need Sean Connery, or Pierce Brosnon. When Happy Feet opened Miller said he was going back to Mad Max, bring it on! Mad Max was kicked ass. would love to see another film.

He's too old to be the star .. us older, nostalgic folks would want to see him back, but the younger audience, especially the teen chicks will want a hot-20-something guy to be kicking ass in the film ... and the teen dudes will need someone younger to relate to.
