Lynn Cohen has signed on to reprise her role as Magda in the theatrical version of Sex and the City. According to Variety, Michael Patrick King is set to direct the feature length comedy.

The film is based on a popular HBO series that ran for six seasons. The entire original cast is set to reprise their roles for the film, which will continue the adventures of four beautiful female New Yorkers who liked to gossip about their sex-lives (or lack thereof) and find new ways to deal with being a woman in the 90's. Not much is known about the plot at this point.

Sex and the City will go into production soon. Producers are looking at a 2009 release date for the film.

Sex and the City: The Movie was released May 30th, 2008 and stars Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, Candice Bergen, Jennifer Hudson, David Eigenberg. The film is directed by Michael Patrick King.
