Beverly Hills, 90210's Luke Perry has signed on with the ensemble cast of HBO's new David Milch drama John From Cincinnati, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Perry had done a guest shot in the Cincinnati pilot and has now signed on to be a regular on the series, which began production this month for an anticipated summer premiere date.

The series revolves around Southern California's surfing culture and a dysfunctional family. Bruce Greenwood, Rebecca De Mornay, Ed O'Neill and Luis Guzman also star.
