Luke Greenfield Set to Direct Two New Pilots
My Mom Is Hot is loosely based on his relationship with his own mother, Beth Greenfield. The series will center on a man whose recently-divorced mother starts dating again.
"It's about what happens when your mom stops being your mom and becomes your closest single buddy, hanging with your friends and crushing it on Match.com," Greenfield said. "I knew we had a unique TV show when I was driving around with my mom in the car and I told her, 'Mom, I swear to God, I'll have sex with anything right now,' and she said, 'Me too.'"
Greenfield will direct the pilot and Duncan Billingham will write. Greenfield is executive producing as well with Marsh McCall and his mother, Beth Greenfield.
Broke Friends comes from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia writers Patrick Walsh and Sonny Lee and will deal with a kid from the Midwest who moves to New York City and moves in with a pair of con artists. Greenfield will direct and executive produce on this series as well.
