Lost Finale to Be Announced Soon
Veitch says in her online article, "I just spoke to insiders at ABC and they tell me the network and producers have reached a decision on an end date and they are expected to announce it very soon. This is meant to be a good thing, because now the producers finally can start mapping out the remaining episodes and rolling out some of the major reveals and answers we fans have been waiting for."
Apparently, the number of remaining episodes is still in the air. It may not be around for another two full seasons. The gossip columnist also goes on to say that a ""massive, mind-blowing, cast-related 'game-changer'... will be revealed in the season finale."
ABC is planning on holding back the return of Lost until January of 2008. That way it can air all of its new episodes back to back without a break or a hiatus.
The network also plans on pushing the show back an hour early.

Hey Mason, I think the article mentioned another Season or Two after this one. My guess is that they want to create a sense of urgency with their viewers that they may miss an important piece if they skip an episode. I would predict that the actual end of the series, whether after next year or the following, will be strictly tied to ratings vs production costs, and not to any statements they make now.
Cheers !
