Mandate Pictures has picked up Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, a romantic comedy which will mark the directorial debut of writer Lorene Scafaria.

According to Variety, the project reunites Mandate and Scafaria, who penned Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist.

Scafaria will write and direct Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, a romantic comedy that centers on one man's search for a meaningful connection amid the end times.
