Armie Hammer is the Lone Ranger?
There was talk earlier this month that Ryan Gosling was being eyed for the Lone Ranger title character, although the actor's reps confirmed a few days later that he was not in contention for the role. Justified star Timothy Olyphant has also been mentioned as a possible Lone Ranger contender.
Gore Verbinski is directing Lone Ranger from a screenplay by Justin Haythe. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce. No production schedule was given for Lone Ranger.
The Lone Ranger comes to theaters July 3rd, 2013 and stars Johnny Depp, Armie Hammer, Ruth Wilson, Helena Bonham Carter, Barry Pepper, James Badge Dale, Tom Wilkinson, James Frain. The film is directed by Gore Verbinski.

Very, VERY good pick!!!! This guy blew me away in Social Network. He needs a role like this that is going to put him on the map and that will also test his range as an actor.

@cripple I agree with you about Olyphant but that is almost too obvious. However, i would never have thought of Hammer but its a good choice. Cant wait to see who they finally settle on.
