Locke and Key may become a film trilogy at Universal
Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman, who served as executive producers on the pilot, will write the screenplay, based on the comic book series created by Joe Hill (Horns). The story centers on three children who become caretakers of the Key House, a sprawling New England mansion. They discover that each door in the house gives them supernatural powers and alters their identity, although they do not realize that a dangerous monster lurks behind one of the doors.
Ironically, the project first started out as a feature adaptation before moving to the small screen. Back in February 2008, we reported that Dimensionn Films had acquired the comic book series. We also reported last September that MTV expressed interest in picking up the series, although a deal was never made.

I'm glad that happen but for my hope for Y: the last man get a series going but on cable local network will be too restricted on the content it has in the story-lines showcase. Other than that I'm truly glad it will find its way on a screen.

I'm game. The show had potential, so I feel this is better than letting the entire plot just rot. However, bring on a more fitting cast and a solid writer, director and cinematographer, because I can already imagine how haunting some of the scenes can be if properly written, lit, acted, etc.
