Lionsgate is closing out the Toronto Film Festival with buying the romantic drama, Away From Her.

Written and directed by Sarah Polley, the film stars Julie Christie as a woman facing Alzheimer's disease, and centers on the effects the disease has on her 44-year marriage; Gordon Pinsent co-stars as her husband. The Hollywood Reporter notes the film is the adaptation of Alice Munro's short story, The Bear Came Over the Mountain.

Away From Her has no release date scheduled.
