Lionsgate Picks Up Bangkok Dangerous

Lionsgate has recently picked up the domestic rights to Danny and Oxide Pang's Bangkok Dangerous. According to Variety, the IEG Virtual Studio's project was written by Jason Richman and produced by Nicolas Cage and Norm Golightly of Saturn Films, with William Sherak and Jason Shuman of Blue Star Pictures.

Bangkok Dangerous stars Cage as an anonymous assassin who travels to Bangkok to handle four kills for an underworld crime boss. His conscience becomes his enemy when he falls for a local Thai girl. The Pang brothers have directed this remake from one of their own original films.

Lionsgate is scheduled to release Bangkok Dangerous this summer.

Bangkok Dangerous was released September 5th, 2008 and stars Nicolas Cage, Shahkrit Yamnarm, Charlie Yeung, Panward Hemmanee, Nirattisai Kaljaruek, Dom Hetrakul, Tuck Napaskorn, Steve Baldocchi. The film is directed by Oxide Pang Chun, Danny Pang.
