Lionsgate has picked up theatrical rights to a new superhero character created by Stan Lee. Smallville creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar will write, direct, and produce the untitled project.

Details on this new character are being kept under wraps, although it is said to be a multi-generational project which will take place over several decades. Stan Lee approached Alfred Gough and Miles Millar to develop the project, who had previously worked with the comic book creator on Spider-Man 2.

Stan Lee will produce through his POW! Entertainment company alongside Gill Champion.

No production schedule was given for this untitled superhero tale.
