Linda Hamilton in Talks for Terminator Salvation!

Linda Hamilton
Linda Hamilton
It seems that one big part of the first Terminator franchise may still have a role in the new franchise. According to MTV Movies Blog, Linda Hamilton is in negotiations to come back to her legendary Sarah Connor role for Terminator Salvation.

"We are talking," Hamilton told the site. "I haven't read it yet. I don't know what direction they will go in." She added, though, that we won't see her as Sarah Connor on screen.

"My contribution would be voiceover," she said. "I would probably be very happy to loan my voice depending on what the material is. Wait and see. They're already writing it. We've been negotiating it."

    LOL

Sorry guys. Didn't mean to be a meatball. Yes I just figured people wanted to know the real developments, and so I posted the link for the "official" news of how the movie is playing out post-production.

    BTW Mr. Fixit ~
What did you mean before that Sarah Connor doesn't die before Judgment Day, and that she helps John in the future? I've heard people say this before, and I can't remember any instance of it from the movies. Unless people mean T2 and the CyberDyne building, but they changed history that night and delayed Judgment Day, which they thought that they had stopped. Or unless its a reference to "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles," in which case I don't believe that to be a part of the canonicity, and "T3: Rise of the Machines" is canon.

    Comment on.

Thanks Fix, you backed me up! Exactly....I know what you originally said CBF, I was just giving my idea of what would have been cool. Dont worry, Im not taking your glory...youuuureee the one who said that she physically wont be in the movie. I was just giving a cool idea

Yes, CBF, we read your comment, but that is not going to stop people from posting what is on their minds and what they would love to see in the movie. The movie can still be altered to have a few scenes added in. If they can still put Arnolds wrinkled old ass in the movie at this time, they can put Linda in some how. I know she is n't going to physically be in the movie, but it would still be an awesome touch.

Didn't you guys read my comment at all? She will not physically be in the movie, but yes, she's doing it. It's confirmed. CONFIRMED.

Good point, Elf. I like that idea! I would love to see Linda in this movie, even if briefly. No matter what pictures of her we see (looking old) on the Net, I still say she could look pretty good whooping some ass.

Guys, they could have easily written her in the movie itself.
Say at the end of the movie, the Terminator, which would be great if Arnold made this cameo, came in at the end and tried to kill John Connor.
You know, the way the Terminator mentioned that he would get killed...from his model. Just when you think the inevitable would happen, you see Sara come out from behind a wall or something with tons of ammo and help..maybe another Terminator or something...or the future Kyle, before he went back.
Guys remember, this can easily have been a cool ending for this new one. Remember....you never saw Sarah's body in T3. Maybe she was hiding out so that when she went into the future...she could save John

  8. Err

im with you guys, she should be a part of this.
i guess my thinking is that if she likes it enough to lend her voice then that would be confidence-installing toward how the movie will turn out.

    She should do it

Linda will always be Sarah Connor no matter what. She cannot be replaced.

didn't Judgement Day occur at the end of T3? Or at the very least the beginning stages of it? It's been awhile since I watched it, but I am pretty sure John didn't have any tapes with him while he hid inside the bunker. Maybe they will try and forget T3 ever happened. I did. :) They f*cking killed off Sarah, and that is bullsh*t to me. She helps John in the future. She doesn't die before JD.

"Linda Hamilton has been confirmed to reprise her role as Sarah Connor in voice-overs that opens and closes the movie; they are from tapes Sarah recorded before her death prior to the film's events to warn John of the future war."

Go to that link, there's a sh-tload of info on T4 and what we'll see in it. And it's completely legit, McG is interviewed, so straight from the director. MovieWeb, you're a little behind. Again. Lol

    Oh, and SWAK1774 ~
Arnold WILL be in this movie, his face is CGI'd onto Roland Kickinger, you know, the guy that played Arnie on A&E Biographical movie? This movie is about John Connor trying to stop Skynet from unveiling the T-800s, cuz if they go online, its over for humanity.

Even though she will just be lending her voice it's a good idea. Too bad they can't have Arnold or Michael involved from the original.

  21. CBF

Aw cool, what a tight idea! I hope she does this, that will be tight to hear Sarah Connor's voice in T4, like nostalgic, even. Like they're going back to the roots in this one. Even if it is just tapes that she started recording in T2 to prepare John as the future leader, it will still add that mythological element, and I think this film needs that. Wow, now I can't wait even more than I couldn't wait before!

PS They pushed this film's release back a few weeks, didn't they? Maybe this is why.

It' probably tapes in which she recorded for john while she was pregnant with him. If you remember part 1 at the end she was taping stories for john. Might be interesting
